This is a temporary bulletin board created specifically to assist & support everyone dealing with the current fires in Southern California. These forums are open to everyone & you do not need to be a member to post here.
You are welcome to post any information that you have related to the fires in the "information" sections, & messages to family and friends in the "family & friends" sections. Please be aware that any posts in the information sections will be created by the users of this site, and I am not responsible for any mis-information that may be conveyed. The situation is ever changing & everyone is doing the best that they can in the face of this tragedy.
I hope that you are able to find this site useful & please feel free to contact me via the private message (PM) function on this site with comments, suggestions, etc.
I used to be a resident of Lake Arrowhead, and although I no longer live there, many of my family & friends have been affected by the Old fire & fires in the San Diego area. Creating this site is the least that I can do.

I sent this url to www.kcal9.com, which is covering the majority of news on the old fire in the San Bernardino Mtns, and the inland empire. Also, to www.fox6.com, as they are doing a good job covering the horrible fires out here in San Diego, and surrounding areas. I hope they give out the address, a lot of people could be somewhat comforted..... God bless, and good luck to you all Rachel Ward

Thank you, Rachel, for sending the link to the news stations ~ I really appreciate everyone helping to spread the word. Hopefully this site will help bring some comfort to all of those affected by the fires.

Webmaster,
Bless You!!
If everyone did a little something to help each other out during this trying time, the world would be a better place, indeed. Your creation of this message board is a valuable asset to all.
From the mountains of north Idaho, we've watched the story unfold on KTLA.com and CNN Headline News, and our hearts and thoughts are with you all, we have loved ones in both Rancho Cucamonga and Upland. We moved here from Ventura 11 years ago.
May God protect you all, hang in there...

can anyone give me any information re: Valley of Enchantment Mobile Home Community Park? i have heard the electricity is on and it is safe to go back. Then I also hear the electricity isn't on. My aunt and uncle live there....they've been staying down the hill with me. Think it is safe for elderly people in late 70's to be back home in that park? We have not been able to really get the whole story from anyone. So thought I might try you guys. Thanks.

We have not been able to really get the whole story from anyone. So thought I might try you guys. Thanks. Hi Dona, just some info that I got from the VOE thread that helped me with my answer: DennisL wrote: (Quote) The news is much better. Ken Cress from the Stockade and Jerry from Radio Shack have toured a lot of the area and say that VOE is untouched. They drove down Waters and up 138 to Camp Seeley and things are OK. CPP lost a couple homes, but is mostly fine. Ken wrote: "no fire in VOE, no fire in Crestline/ Lake Gregory, no fire in CPP (with the possible exception of far ends of Mojave River Rd, which I did not see, and possible fire at the far end of Mozumdar), no fire in top town" I've been monitoring the scanners and the weather has turned decidedly BETTER. It seems that everywhere there is either heavy fog, light drizzle or light rain All those rain dances and spells worked Humidity is at 73%, and in some areas the fire is laying down. DennisL Hope this helps. Also in the local news residents have to show ID and get a pass to go into the Crestline/VOE area. News claims Old Waterman Canyon Rd., Hwy 18 to Hwy 138 closed, (down power lines and debris) the only way shown was to come up the I15 to Hwy 138 by way of Silverwood Lake. Have not heard about power but I have heard that the Stockade Bar and Grill is manned and they have a phone working. Might try them or a neighbor you might know. Again I hope this helps as this is only 2nd hand info. Darryl McRaney
