Does any one have any iformation on Neptune Way, Saturn Way, or Jupiter? (The Skyland area).I have a home there and have not been able to get any information. I stayed at a friends house in Running Springs today. We went up to the fire watch tower at Kellermans peak and saw the fire storming up toward the cliffhanger. When we got back to Running Springs we could see the 'monster' wall of flame approaching. We had to evacuate. I would greatly appreciate any information on this area or Running Springs. Thank You So Much. We love Lake Gregory

I'd just like to tell everybody that there is little to no information about which streets have been affected, and absolutely none on the exact houses. Because of the wind the fire has been jumping erratically in San Bernardino - burning two houses, skipping one, and then burning five again for instance - and it may be doing the same in the mountains. The firetrucks have an extremely difficult time driving up the side roads, so presumably most of the fighting will be done on main streets. Most of the burning estimations are of general areas, and can't go into detail about streets. I'll try to get as much specific info as I can from my mom though.

Just got off the phone again and have some more news: *Cliffhanger has gotten burned pretty badly, my mom was watching pictures on the news (not sure which channel) and she said it was pretty far gone, but people are still trying to help it. *They are having further evacuations in the west side of SB because the fire is coming back down again. *Devore is getting worse - no specifics *The officer who drove by my house was on motorcycle and he wen by his house too, which is a little further up San Moritz, and he said that everything was okay there. He also told us that the south side of the lake was looking fine at the moment. There are engines scattered everywhere around there and they are all ready for anything that arrives. There are spot fires all over the place though, probably sparked by flying embers, but the fire fighters are keeping a close eye out and exstinguishing them. More Later Kelly

Off the online scanner there was a report of fire jumping 18 and later a mention of a fire at Crest Forest and Ocean View. I am so sorry the news isn't more positive. -ashley

Kelly,
I can't thank you enough for this information. My parents' house is on Bergschrund Road (just up toward the rim from your house). If you can keep the updates coming, that would be a big help for my folks. They are stuck in Hesperia and there are news reports saying that the fire has reached lower Crestline.

Does anyone know what the status is in Valley of the Moon? My mom lives on Moon Dr. I am in Hawaii and am worried.

Jesse from Hesperia here. Thanks for putting up this board. My girlfriend and I both love the area around Crestline/Big Bear and Rim Of The World. Everybody up there is in our thoughts.
From Hesperia we can see the flames now from both fires. Looks like the flames have entered the High Desert at the Cajon Pass as well, at least from my vantagepoint. Sobering...
Does anyone have any info on the area around Rimforest, particularly the Old Cottage Restaurant? A favorite and special place of ours. Any info is welcome.
This whole thing is a tragedy, and you are all in our thoughts down here in the desert. Let's all hope for some GOOD NEWS!!!

To the other Ashley......thank you very much for all of your news. I know it looks grim for my family, but we are keeping our hopes up that the old place is still standing. How are you listening to the scanners?
Good luck to everyone else in finding information on your neighborhoods. I hope you all find your homes intact. As far as Valley of the Moon, I haven't heard of any flames down there, but if you hear of any, please let me know....my cousin lives next to the church.
