Can anyone tell me if Wylerhorn Dr. is o.k. across from Lake Gregory. My brother is very worried. It is where his home is. Thanks, Patty, his sis

Wylerhorn drive should be fine... you can see that the whole Lake Gregory area has not burned: www.crestline.sgds.com/tuesday/big/rfwide10.jpgThis picture is from Tuesday morning and Lake Gregory is in the center Left. Wylerhorn is at the top center area of the lake. Fletch

Pea soup fog is on the rim tonight! (Wednesday) This may be the first time I have looked forward to that kind of fog in the mountains since I have lived in crestline.

I just put up some new pictures captured from TV on Wednesday evening. My bandwidth is a little limited... if it seems to crawl maybe try 10 minutes later. www.crestline.sgds.com/Fletch

The news is much better. Ken Cress from the Stockade and Jerry from Radio Shack have toured a lot of the area and say that VOE is untouched. They drove down Waters and up 138 to Camp Seeley and things are OK. CPP lost a couple homes, but is mostly fine. Ken wrote: "no fire in VOE, no fire in Crestline/ Lake Gregory, no fire in CPP (with the possible exception of far ends of Mojave River Rd, which I did not see, and possible fire at the far end of Mozumdar), no fire in top town" I've been monitoring the scanners and the weather has turned decidedly BETTER. It seems that everywhere there is either heavy fog, light drizzle or light rain All those rain dances and spells worked Humidity is at 73%, and in some areas the fire is laying down. DennisL

Thank you for all the update and photos. My mom is out of state and unable to return, but her house is in valley of enchantment. Does anyone have any information about that area?

Thanks everyone for the Crestline / Lake Gregory updates.
We have tried to listen to a scanner from our kid's house in Lake Elsinore and cannot pick up specific fire information. (Mostly updates about animals being stranded).
Any info concerning best channel to scan for lastest fire information?
Thanks and God Bless.

I've been listening to: www.live365.com/stations/kb6jagYou have to sign up for $5/month, but they have a 7 day free trial. Generally it's great, but sometimes I can't get on because it says "Station Full".

My grandparents have a house (Crestline) up on Zuger DR (up above the old arcade and the little A frame book store -where the old putt putt golf course used to be). Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about that area?

Crestline is pretty much untouched as of this morning. It seems like we've been the luckiest town on the mountain so far, Let's just keep hoping!

Has anyone heard about when they will open crestline or allow us to go and see our homes. I hear there are people in other neighborhoods going through houses and looting them.
