My thoughts & prayers go out to all who are affected by the fire, including my friends & my family's friends who reside on the mountain.... The mountain holds many special memories for me, and is a special place ~ it will continue to be a very special place because of the people who make up the community.... I hope that your friends & family are safe tonight, and that, even if property is lost, lives are saved. Please be safe tonight & take stock of what is important in your lives....
Thank you to the firefighters who are doing all that is within their power to protect our precious mountain ~ May you stay safe tonight & in the time to come....
~ In Peace & Safety ~

My name is Meghan Fay; I am a graduate of Rim High's class of 2003 and an 18-year Lake Arrowhead resident (yes, I qualify for Boyan's "Mtn. Hick Award"-I was born at Mtns. Community Hospital). I just want to tell everyone who visits this page how much all of us Scots who are out here at UCLA are thinking of you and praying for you. Although I love UCLA, I miss the mountains very much and an event like this has really made us here remember that the mountains are our home! We want to thank all of the fire and emergency personnel who are working so hard to keep our families/friends and our properties safe. We pray that you are kept from harm! To all of you who have been displaced, please know that you can always call on us in your time of need. Please continue to keep us updated! Good luck and God Bless!
