If you have any info on Twin Peaks, please post it here. I have been receiving more emails requesting this info, including myself (who is from Twin Peaks). Thanks! --urbz

As far as I know, there is no immediate threat to Twin Peaks; although Cliffhanger has been reported to be in danger (possibly on fire), and there was some trouble about the houses in Crest Forest, so it wouldn't take much time to get to Twin Peaks if the wind changes. The most imminent threat is to the Crestline area.

Thanks for the update.
Listening to the online channel scanner, the firefighters are bunkering down and looking for breakfast. There are a lot of crews by the Cliffhanger now.

I heard over an online scanner (which I assume is live) that the fire is at the 18 at Baylis Park but that it has not crossed over the 18 at that site. -ashley I hope that is some comfort

12:05 pm pst
Eyewitness reports from LA County firefighters who have flashed badges and been readmmitted to their homes in the Twin Peaks area (Augusta Dr.) have reported that all is quiet. Despite reports, there is no sign of smoke or flames in the Twin Peaks area at this time.
May God bless the brave men and women putting themselves in the line of this fire to save our homes.

Thank you for the update on Twin Peaks. Flares are back along the Rim, by Rimforest, and by the High School.

Supposedly they are going to burn parts of Strawberry Peaks to prevent the fire from going into that area....

My dad, Don Jolley, lives on Apache Trail on the western edge of the rim in Rim Forest. I know he's left the mountain, thankfully. Is there any news of Rim Forest?
Thanks.

From the Scanner and message boards: The fire has jumped 18 at Strawberry Peak, 189, North, Lake Gregory, and Rose Lane (our home). They are having problems in these locations. For now, the reporters by Rim Forest are being relocated. It has hit the tree tops in Twin Peaks. Strike teams are trying to get in.

I belive that the fire now poses quite a treat to Strawberry peak. I know that the radio tower will be strongly fought for, because along with Heap's peake, it covers radio for most of the area.

We evacuated a few days ago. I have been maintaining a website of information you can visit. homepage.mac.com/joeurbz/iblog/C129721765/index.htmlSean and JJ went to my sisters in AZ. Bad news for Twin Peaks. It has been hit and we are assuming the worst. It has engulfed Strawberry Peak and hitting Bear Springs, Pinecrest, North, and Lake Gregory Drive. Rose Lane is next. Stay safe, Joe & Rose Urbz

I have a friend who lives on Oak Drive in Twin Peaks. Strawberry Peak (all the radio towers) is very near his house. He was evacuated on Sat and we have not been able to find anything out about the specific area. Can anyone help?
