Hello everyone! I heard that a reporter today was interviewing a gentleman who did not evacuate in Twin Peaks - he said he walked Mile Pine Road and all was well. Judging by the previous messages, I'm now confused (as is everyone) as to what has burned and what hasn't. Our place is on Mile High Road at the end of the road next to the National Forest - Strawberry Peak is up to the East of us - unfortunately we're at the top of a canyon. I would really appreciate any news that can be confirmed as to the actual status of that area. God bless everyone and all the efforts of the fire crews - pray that the fire from the backside doesn't make it to Crestline either! Suzi (& Clark) Tompkins, Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks is fine. No immediate threat. Need to watch Crestline fire and Miller Canyon. My brother is fireman living there and is up and down mountain daily.

Watching the channel 2 news this morning they showed the Depot Store in Rimforest on pine. They are still running and have people that they send out to check places . If you call them they may have the information on the part of Twin Peaks that you want to know about. My daughter lives in Twin Peaks and we are trying to find out about homes on Skyridge.

We have a house on Club House Dr. near Lake Forest . I hope everyone and everything is OK in Twin Peaks. There is a web site that shows a map of twin peaks "Arrowhead" displaying Active fire areas and "fire perimeters" They seem to post revisions at least once a day. Good Luck to all. Seems like twin peaks is ok so far!?! Web site is www.calmast.org/mast/public/default.htm

I'm a former resident of Twin Peaks and Lake Gregory, and my parents have a place up in the Arrowhead Villas. I'm in Seattle now, but I'm wondering how Calvary Chapel Twin Peaks is faring through this....any news? The burn map I saw was fuzzy but looked as though it could have reached that area.
My prayers are with you all....

Hello Joe: Just checking out the web and found this site. By now you must understand Twin Peak did very well. Although I haven't seen much information regarding the other side of Strawberry, I have heard houses were burned down after 1206 Bear Springs Road. Someone gave me your web site and I took a look. I feel honored my comments to appeal to BJ's best instincts moved you to comment on it on your web site. I didn't realize how active you were and how strong you were on web development. Also wanted to let you know, although, Scott thought BJ was abusing the site, BJ has been enjoying himself quite a bit, realizes things aren't so bad for him and is now settled. It is unfortunate during times of disasters, when people let their guard down, they allow themselves to become human beings with compassion and care. Hopefully this will carry over to help those who have lost so much. Take Care, Raman Vasishth

Hello my name is Raman, I'm at 865 Bear Springs Road. Your place is fine. Only damage to any of the buildings was the first cabin on Bear Springs Road next to the Hwy. The fire damage to that cabin is not related to the forest fire, but rather something else unknown. Sleep easy, relax and take care, Raman Vasishth Cecile Lawrence lives at 859 Bear Springs Road, Twin Peaks, CA. We have heard NO information regarding her home. Please write, Thanks, Bill
