I heard that the fire coming up from Silverwood has burned into Sawpit Canyon and Cedar Pines Park. Does anyone know if it has advanced farther, into VOE?
Our prayers go out to those who lost homes in CPP and Sawpit Canyon.

I just talked to the folks at the Stockade. They answered the phone "Stockade, Crestline Information Center". I think these guys are heroic. The are running on generator power and providing comfort and rest for the fire strike crews. We all need to go have dinner there when this is all over and leave BIG TIPS.
Anyway, they say that the fire is being battled in CPP. Helecopters are dipping in Lake Gregory and dumping on that fire front.
Reports say that the fire has NOT advanced into VOE, and the battle front is still CPP.
Again, our prayers go out to the firefighters and those who lost their homes in CPP and Sawpit Canyon.

Mark,
I dont know about your street, but I can tell you that I spoke to the folks at the Stockade again. They said that fire crews have "achieved containment" in Cedar Pines Park. They dont expect the fire to spread any further. They lost 5 homes there.
I suggest you call the Stockade for information. They are more than willing to help anyone who calls (its kinda why they stuck around) Last time I called them they had two abc news crews in and it sounded very crowded, even a little happy.
I hope your home is safe. God Bless
Steve
