I just thought I'd put this up as a place for all the reports coming from the Stockade.
(For those who don't know, the Stockade is a bar in downtown Crestline next to Ace Hardware on Lake Drive.)
I live in that area and it is helpful to get reports from people actually there.
thanks.
The last time I called them this morning they said they would only leave if they were dragged out of there. Downtown Crestline was still okay two hours ago.

Just talked to Bill at the Stockade! What a guy! He let me know, at this time, The corner of Pioneer Camp & Park is Fine (and the surrounding area) AND in VOE the Intersection of Waters & 138 is Fine Too!
When we all get back up the hill, make sure you eat at the Stockade regularly!!!! (Big Tips Too!)

It is 9:30 pm and I finally had a chance to look at some reports on the computer. We live in Rialto and our hearts go out to all of you mountian residents. The community of Crestline in the Valley of Enchantment is especially close to my heart. Our church has a camp called Pacific Pines that has been in that community since the late 1930's. It is off of Waters at the end of Hunts Lane, not to far from Johnnie's Market. I have been watching the news but have heard few reports on the VOE. Can anyone tell me some good news? I've been praying for all of you and for our camp.God bless, and you all stay safe.

This is from last night:
Ken Cress from the Stockade and Jerry from Radio Shack have toured a lot of the area and say that VOE is untouched. They drove down Waters and up 138 to Camp Seeley and things are OK. CPP lost a couple homes, but is mostly fine. Ken wrote: "no fire in VOE, no fire in Crestline/ Lake Gregory, no fire in CPP (with the possible exception of far ends of Mojave River Rd, which I did not see, and possible fire at the far end of Mozumdar), no fire in top town"
